‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 8, episode 5 preview: Bar Paly returns in ‘Ghost Gun’
For those of who enjoyed seeing Bar Paly as Anna through much of the seventh season of “NCIS: Los Angeles,” we come bearing some great news: She’s going to be back sooner rather than later! Specifically, we’ve learned that she will be reprising her role on next week’s new episode entitled “Ghost Gun,” which will shake-up the partner dynamics somewhat as she teams up with Chris O’Donnell’s Callen while Sam is off else where taking care of some other matters.
As much as we love seeing Callen and Sam together there could be some fun mixed in here with Anna and Callen, and in addition to that, there are some events that will likely unfold here that’ll have long-term implications on the remainder of the season. After all, the mole story is still at play!
Synopsis – “The murder of a navy machinist with high security clearance sends the team on a city-wide hunt tracking evidence. Also, Anna Kolcheck (Bar Paly) partners with Callen, and Sam assists Hetty in the on-going mole investigation.”
There isn’t much of an indication one way or another if we are going to finally resolve things on the mole front in this episode and to be honest, we’d be surprised if everything is tied together quickly. Just thinking about this from the standpoint of timing, remember that networks like to tie up significant stories during the November sweeps. Therefore, we wouldn’t be altogether shocked if CBS decided to hold off moving on to the next phase in this story until then. As long as there is a little more information handed down here and there to keep the trail hot then we’re happy.
If nothing else, we do hope bringing Paly back is something that the CBS show does decide to do on a fairly regular basis moving forward.
