‘The X Factor’ UK results preview: Will Honey G, Ryan Lawrie, or Saara Aalto be eliminated?
Tonight, we’re getting the second “X Factor” results show of the season, and by and large this is one that could have a predictable result: The end of Honey G on the show. If we were to go based on the performances last night, we do believe that it’s time. Every one of her performances feels like it’s the same thing, and she doesn’t have much of anything interesting to say as a rapper. Let’s take for a minute all of the conspiracy theories that she’s just acting and shove those to the side. If she’s actually serious about this business, doesn’t she need to do something more than just spelling out her name and doing audience participation?
While we think she should go, we also wouldn’t be surprised if she’s safe for another week or two … and we don’t think it would be as a result of any sort of “rigging” either. The thing you have to think about for a moment here is that Honey G is memorable, and thanks to that she’ll get some votes. There’s almost a zero percent change she makes it to the final, so you can go ahead and write off that as a possibility. Her ceiling is likely around seventh place or so.
As for who else could be in danger tonight, the audience is already not keen on Saara Aalto and her performance last night was messy. It was almost a clear indication of what her biggest problem is as a performer on this show: She tries too hard rather than having it come naturally.
Also, we’re a little worried about Ryan Lawrie given that he’s not the best singer in the competition. Maybe Freddy Parker is also in some danger due to him performing first on the night, but we hope that’s not the case.
For now, just be sure to head over here if you want to get some other news on the show. We’ll have our review of the results show there soon enough!
