‘The Good Wife’ spin-off: Chris Noth open to appearing
While we don’t necessarily get the sense that the upcoming spin-off for “The Good Wife” is intending to continue the story of the Florrick family, the following news does still get us excited: Chris Noth is open to coming back for more!
Speaking (per Entertainment Weekly) to Dave Karger while at the La Costa Film Festival, the actor made the following comment:
“I’d be happy to do a couple of episodes … I’d love to see where that guy ended up. He finished the series just like he started it, by saying he wasn’t guilty. He’s such a great character.”
As for whether we think it’ll happen, it could be interesting to find a new angle and direction to come at Peter that isn’t just through Alicia Florrick; we don’t necessarily need to see this family in the spotlight further given that the past several years of the show were all about them, but they’re still out there and a part of this world. They didn’t go away just because the end credits roll.
The spin-off for the series stars Cush Jumbo, Christine Baranski, Sarah Steele, and Rose Leslie, and it will premiere on the CBS All Access streaming service at some point in the new year (the pilot is also slated to air on CBS; think of this as a way to further encourage some people to check it out). We imagine that this will be a story of redemption at times for Diane, as the series is going to start with her finding herself in some financial jeopardy. Some more details will hopefully also come out in the coming weeks.
