‘Arrow’ season 5 spoilers: All about ‘Human Target’
There should be some sort of new tradition on “Arrow” where come the fifth episode of every season, there’s some sort of event where a classic DC Comics character comes over to this show. At this time last year, we were all losing our you-know-what for a chance to see John Constantine on this show. In retrospect, we still love that appearance and think of it as epic, and we’re therefore excited to see what Human Target brings to the table for his own episode (fittingly titled “Human Target”) airing on November 2.
So how does this character (played on the show by Wil Traval) factor into the show? Well, Oliver is going to be giving him a call when Tobias Church, who is thankfully still around by this episode, captures one of the members of Oliver’s new team. Oliver may need a little help, so who better to pull this off than someone who makes a real habit of being able to trick others with his impersonation abilities?
For the record, we’d certainly be down for Human Target recurring on one of the CW shows, even if we don’t quite know where he fits at the moment with so many other characters out there.
As for the other major storyline taking place in this episode, be prepared for things to get a little bit awkward when Felicity’s new boyfriend (Tyler Ritter) gets a new assignment that causes her personal and professional worlds to collide in a way that they haven’t quite before. Let’s hope that she’s quick with an explanation, and not just for the sake of her own relationship; if Oliver hasn’t learned about it by then, odds are he’ll have a certain degree of curiosity, as well.
