‘Blindspot’ season 2 spoilers: Will you meet Douglas Winter?

Given that Douglas Winter is a key player in “Blindspot” mythology, especially when you consider his past connection with Mayfair and also the blackhole file, what we have to wonder at the moment is this: Are we actually going to be seeing this man sooner rather than later?

Luckily, the good news here is that we’ve got an answer coming your way to this question, and it is even sooner than you would imagine! Speaking in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Martin Gero made it clear precisely how long you’re going to have to wait for answers, and it is really not too long at all:

“We actually get to meet Douglas Winter next week … He’s played by PJ Byrne, who delivers our funniest guest star performance since Rich DotCom — who will return the week after!”

Hopefully, getting these answers will work for some out there looking to inject a little more of Mayfair’s backstory onto the show. What many shows out there struggle with is trying to find a way to make the past really matter, especially in terms of characters who are killed off. Too often, we watch people get removed from the equation, and then maybe a few episodes later they are almost forgotten. You have to figure out a way to inject some of their energy into what you do moving forward, and perhaps this is the way to do so with Mayfair.

Ultimately, there are many more episodes still to come beyond just these next two, so we’ll see what’s on the other side in terms of guest stars soon.
