Fuse celebrates Hispanic History Month by spotlighting Lin-Manuel Miranda, Melanie Martinez, and more

Fuse -For much of the past 30 days and up until Saturday, Fuse is casting a light on a number of today’s biggest up-and-comers as a part of Hispanic Heritage Month. Specifically, through their Future Hispanic History Month series, they are profiling people who are ready to make a difference and emerge even more as some of the top talents in their given mediums.

If you want to check out everyone who is being spotlighted by the network, be sure to head over here to check out the official page. Some of the notable names they are spotlighting include Prince Royce, “Jane the Virgin” star Gina Rodriguez, YouTube sensation Bethany Mota, Nicky Jam, Coheed & Cambria, Kid Cudi, Olympic gymnast and current “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Laurie Hernandez, “Teen Wolf” star Tyler Posey, and the two names that we videos spotlighting further below: Lin-Manuel Miranda and Melanie Martinez.

Fuse will continue its celebration until October 15, so be sure to go over and take a look!

Lin-Manuel Miranda – This of this video below as a sort of highlight reel for everything the singer / writer / actor has accomplished in his career to date, which of course includes the runaway success of “Hamilton” the musical on Broadway. He’s also been an outspoken proponent of bringing attention to Puerto Rico, including making an appearance on “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” to highlight the territory in its time of need.

Lin-Manuel is also coming off of a notable appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” fulfilling what was a longtime dream of his.

Melanie Martinez – This video is more of a personal interview featuring the “Cry Baby” and “Carousel” singer, as she goes through some of her interests and favorite things. She also discusses some of the progress on the way to her next album, and how she is looking to use her music to tell a larger story and covey a further message.

Like Lin-Manuel, Melanie also has a notable TV connection as a former contestant from “The Voice.”

As we mentioned earlier in this article, Lin-Manuel hosted “Saturday Night Live” earlier this week. Head over here if you want to see some video highlights from that episode! (Photo: Fuse.)
