‘Blue Bloods’ season 7, episode 4 sneak peeks: Jamie, Frank clash on arrest
On Friday night’s new episode of “Blue Bloods,” we’re going to see a situation that is going to be ripe with tension. That certainly doesn’t spell out good things for Frank Reagan, given that he’s not quite used to being challenged by his sons like he is going to be here.
The first sneak peek gives you a quick sense as to precisely what is going on. Jamie feels as though the NYPD is treating a young man unfairly who was arrested — and may not have done anything wrong. Frank disagrees, suggesting that the evidence behind the arrest is there and circumstances may deem it so that there is no clear value in speaking up. What irks Jamie more than anything is that this same man is sitting in Rikers Island for at least one night, potentially for a crime that he did not commit.
We cannot say if this is a coincidence or not, but this all does feel like a small-scale version of the storyline from HBO’s “The Night Of,” where we saw the character of Nasir Khan locked away in Rikers after being suspected of murdering Andrea Cornish. That show had an ending that was somewhat open; hopefully, we’re getting something a tad more definitive on “Blue Bloods.”
The second sneak peek below makes it clear that Jamie is not letting this situation go anytime soon. As a matter of fact, he is continuing to push so hard for it that he brings it up while at the family dinner table. It’s clearly not something that Frank appreciates hearing in that moment, but this should make it clear to him that until he gets some results, Jamie is probably not letting this situation go and for perfectly-good reason.
