‘Chicago PD’ season 4, episode 5 preview: What lies ahead in ‘A War Zone’
Tonight on “Chicago PD,” there was a storyline that revolved very much around seeing a tough situation unfold for Kevin Atwater, while at the same time many other members of Intelligence were investigating what happened at a concert. In true series fashion, what happened can be best described as the show trying to juggle a wide array of moving parts before hoping to get a conclusion that served as justice for those involved.
So where do we go next? The upcoming installment of the show, entitled “A War Zone,” will provide more insight into the Tay – Burgess partnership that was especially explored earlier on in the season, while at the same time we have a very difficult case for Intelligence as they try to stop the spread of a very dangerous drug across the city.
Synopsis – “Intelligence is tasked with tracking down the dealers of fentanyl – a drug that has been linked to multiple overdoses around the city. As they investigate possible sources, the team uncovers a series of dealers in a college smuggling ring. Meanwhile, Tay (guest star Li Jun Li) and Burgess (Marina Squerciati) come across a bloodied child who exposes a dark and twisted secret about his home life with his parents. Additionally, Mouse (guest star Samuel Hunt) causes tension as he looks to reenlist in the army, and Platt (Amy Morton) tells Tay (guest star Li Jun Li) that she has been reassigned to her original post.”
Promo – We’re not going to say that this gives you a lot more in the way of scoop (these NBC promos never do), but it does make it clear that the drug dealer that Voight is going after is someone Intelligence has spent the better part of 15 years hunting down.
