‘Criminal Minds’ season 12, episode 4 preview: A hope for Thomas Gibson – Hotch answers in ‘Keeper’
Tonight, “Criminal Minds” season 12 is airing its first episode without Thomas Gibson in the cast, and based on what we saw in the early going, we have a feeling that not everyone is going to be pleased with the idea of him being off on “temporary assignment.”
So why didn’t we get more information? A possible explanation for it could be that this installment was written before the actor was fired from the show, and as a result of that, there wasn’t much time to go in and change things up. We do imagine that sooner or later, the show is going to have to address this further, and maybe that will be coming up over the course of the next new episode “Keeper.” It is set to air at present on October 26, which is a good two weeks away. That may mean that there is some time for some further information to be included, but there’s no confirmation of that at present.
Heck, at the moment CBS has yet to even release a synopsis.
Promo – Unfortunately, there’s no details about Hotch in this promo, either. We’re starting to think that we could be forced to wait for a few episodes to learn precisely what is coming for this character, given the timing of when scripts were written and also a possible desire to get people enthusiastic about the new roster before they start to deliver a dagger of that variety into the mix. What this preview does give us is that there is a very creepy UnSub at the center of this upcoming case, and it feels as though Halloween — and some horrific actions — are going to be front and center.
