‘Lethal Weapon’ episode 4 preview: Time for some counseling
For one reason or another, we do always find it entertaining when we see buddy-cop characters have to go through a little bit of therapy in order to get through their issues. We saw it last season in glorious fashion for Danny and McGarrett on “Hawaii Five-0,” and moving into Wednesday night’s “Lethal Weapon” episode entitled “There Goes the Neighborhood,” something similar is going to be coming up for Riggs and Murtaugh.
Basically, their “therapy” (which apparently includes bald head and mustache-complimenting) comes after their latest bit of “damage” to the city of Los Angeles, which has shown itself to be chaotic over time. Part of the fun of this series comes via the fact that they are successful at their job; it’s the process of it that tends to get them in trouble.
For those wondering if the entire episode is stuffed full of these funny moments, we do have some proof that, alas, it is not.
Synopsis – “A string of burglaries hits close to home for Murtaugh when one occurs in his own neighborhood, and it gets just as personal for Riggs when another break-in ends in a casualty. Meanwhile, Roger Junior connects with an old friend who might be twisted up in some criminal action of his own.”
Having a personal story for Riggs will in turn ramp up the drama, and put him in a situation where he may choose to do something reckless. After all, you have to remember that every person out there, in one way or another, is capable of making some mistakes. For someone like him, the target is only amplified.
