‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6, episode 4 preview: The ‘Strange Case’ of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
Tonight, “Once Upon a Time” gave us the latest update to the Cinderella story, and it was a magical, at-times painful affair that led to us learning that one of Ella’s famed stepsisters was not quite as evil as advertised.
Unfortunately, there is one person we do know to be wicked: Mr. Hyde. The moment that we first heard that the title for the next new episode of the show was “Strange Case,” it was an easy assumption to make that he and Dr. Jekyll would be the focus. After all, the character originated from The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. While we do know a little bit about these two men judging from where we are right now in Storybrooke, there is certainly more to their story and how they got to this place. Hopefully, this episode will offer up a little more insight.
The promo below definitely offers a little bit more insight into what happened here so long ago that caused him to become such a key cog in the story this season; not only that, but apparently there is a past connection with Rumpelstiltskin that is going to come to light even further.
One other thing that ABC clearly wants you to keep in mind is that the first appearance of Aladdin and Jasmine (or at least a substantial one) in the episode that follows. Clearly, this is going to be an installment that they really want people to see, and understandably so given the popularity of the franchise. We had a brief Aladdin-related teaser at the start at the start of the season, but for whatever reason producers have went away from that.
