Is ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 8, episode 4 new tonight on CBS?
Tonight, all of broadcast television is going to be on hold, and there is a very clear, very simple reason for it: The second of the Presidential Debates between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. We assumed that the ratings were going to be huge tonight even before the Trump tapes were uncovered over the past several days; now, we assume that they will be off the charts and could even match the 80 million-plus who managed to catch the debate the first time around.
With this being said, there are some networks that are airing new programming in the 8:00 p.m. Eastern hour. For example, you’re going to have a chance to see a new installment of “Once Upon a Time” over at ABC. So why is “NCIS: Los Angeles” going off the air tonight? There are a couple of reasons for that.
1. Due to NFL football, primetime is likely going to be delayed, and it probably would have started at 8:30 or later in the event that it did come on tonight. When you consider all of that, there was really no hope or room for this to happen.
2. It makes more sense logically to emphasize “60 Minutes” leading up to the debate, since we’re going to be talking about politics for most of the night and the show has a lot of subject matter with everything that has gone down over the past week.
When the LL Cool J series does return on CBS in one week’s time, it will be an episode that hopefully does more to address Kensi’s present situation. Not only that, but we’re also continuing to hold out some hope that we’ll learn more about how Nell will handle going out into the field.
