‘The Flash’ season 3: Matt Letscher talks the Reverse-Flash, ‘Scandal,’ more on ‘Home & Family’ (video)
On the recent season 3 premiere of “The Flash,” you had a chance to see Matt Letscher once more as Eobard Thawne a.k.a. the Reverse-Flash, one of the most notorious villains in Barry Allen’s life. This is a guy who has effectively now killed Barry’s mother Nora Allen on multiple occasions, and during the “Flashpoint” story forced Barry to fall to his mercy in order to restore original timeline. It was certainly painful stuff for Grant Gustin to play– even though it was absolutely compelling to watch.
Given that Eobard is so evil, and that Letscher has played a number of other sinister roles over the years, isn’t it nice to see a softer, funnier side of the guy? That is where “Home & Family” comes into play! On Friday’s episode of the Hallmark Channel series, he spoke with Mark Steines and Debbie Matenopoulos about playing Eobard, his role as Billy Chambers on “Scandal,” and also some of his early days as an actor. The hosts also played a bit of a game with him, where he got to talk about the many experiences he had working with actors like Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Antonio Banderas over the course of his career. You can check out the full video below.
We certainly anticipate that you are going to see Letscher on The CW show once more over the course of the season, but we know for sure that you’ll be seeing him on “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.” He’s got a significant role over there this season (premiering Thursday), as the Reverse-Flash constitutes one of the members of the Legion of Doom.
The next new episode of “The Flash” airs on Tuesday night; be sure to head over to this link to see a sneak peek for it!
