‘The Flash’ season 3 spoilers: First details on Mirror Master – The Top debut
When we started to hear earlier this year that “The Flash” was casting a whole flurry of new villains, including Mirror Master and The Top, we did start to wonder if we were getting a whole new generation of Rogues to go along with what we had with Captain Cold, Heat Wave, and many more back during the first season.
Well, we’ve now got further verification that this could be the case. (Warning: Minor — but authorized — spoilers ahead.) The title for the upcoming October 25 episode is “The New Rogues,” and some brand-new details via The CW suggest that the arrival of these two villains — plus the return of Captain Cold — could be the beginning of a new league of baddies, and create serious problems for Barry and his new protegee Jesse:
“Barry (Grant Gustin) continues to train Jesse (guest star Violett Beane) and when a new meta human, Mirror Master (guest star Grey Damon), appears on the scene he lets her tag along. Mirror Master has teamed up with his old partner, Top (guest star Ashley Rickards), and is looking for Snart (Wentworth Miller) to even a score. Jesse is quick to join the chase but defies one of Barry’s orders which results in disastrous consequences.”
It was revealed previously by The CW that Beane and Tom Cavanagh are going to return to “The Flash” for the upcoming October 18 episode, one where it will be revealed that Harrison Wells’ daughter developed speedster abilities in the wake of what happened last season. This does create a rather interesting parallel between this series and “Arrow,” given that for much of the Stephen Amell series in the opening weeks we will see Oliver Queen try to extend his legacy to some new trainees of his own.
Now, let’s take a step back — we are still a couple of episodes away from “The New Rogues” airing. We’re just excited to see what Damon and Rickards bring to this universe, and the upcoming installments should set all of that up rather nicely.
