‘Flaked’ season 2 casts ‘The Last Ship’ alum Elisabeth Rohm
This is turning out to be quite a busy past few months when it comes to Elisabeth Rohm’s career. Over the course of this past summer, we saw her stir things up as Allison Shaw, arguably the Big Bad for “The Last Ship” season 3. She’s also got another role coming up on “Hawaii Five-0” this fall, and we now know that she’ll be turning up in one of our favorite underrated gems: “Flaked” on Netflix.
Per a report from Deadline, Rohm is going to play the part of Alex on the series, a woman who Chip (Will Arnett) meets while at an AA meeting in Santa Monica, and the two almost immediately end up forming a connection. As for how long that lasts, that’s what makes us a tad more anxious given how we saw how much Chip’s own facade can back to haunt him over the course of the first season. He was so desperate to be thought of as this sort of vagabond hero in Venice that he covered up his own mistakes, lied about killing someone in an accident, and continued to drink even when he claimed he was sober.
The new season of “Flaked” recently started production in California, and should premiere at some point in 2017. Last season we opted to do a piece on the entire season, and that is something we presume we will probably do again when the show comes back on. We ultimately have a very-hard time envisioning us not wanting to write about the show in some form moving forward; it’s funny at times, and refreshingly challenging at others.
As for Rohm’s former series in “The Last Ship,” new episodes there will start airing once more on TNT this fall.
