‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 3, episode 3 sneak peek: Laurel’s father enters the fray

For those of you wondering what the future will hold on “How to Get Away with Murder” Thursday night, rest assured that the character of Laurel will be at the center of much of what plays out. Given the way that this past episode ended, how could she not be? Annalise and others are hoping to draw the character out of hiding, and gave him what is basically the show’s equivalent of a lure from Pokemon GO (is that already a dated reference?): A voice-mail message from Laurel.

In the sneak peek below, Laurel is paying a visit to someone else: Her father, who seems to view her in his head as more of a fairy princess than an intelligent person within society. He also utters the name Frank, which at this point should be enough to send a chill down anyone’s spine.

The only additional details that ABC offered up for this episode, at least from the Laurel point of view, was that she would be able to acquire some information from an “unlikely source.” Is this source her own father, and is it about Frank? Both worthy questions, as is whether or not Laurel will be spared by the episode’s end. This does seem to be the structure of the season so far: You get a character story in the inside (to go along with Annalise, of course), and then by the end of it, someone will be checked off the list of candidates.
