‘Arrow’ season 5 premiere video: All about the joy of superhero shows

Arrow -The fifth season of “Arrow” is coming your way on The CW come Wednesday night, and that is a cause for tremendous excitement. Early buzz is strong that the show is reverting back to its season 1 / season 2 form, and for us that’s a cause of great celebration. Of course, we will wait until the episode airs to start to really trumpet our excitement for the show, but the video below is a great start when it comes to building up the hype in general for all of the superhero shows that are coming for the network.

There are a few new quotes in this clip from Curtis Holt, but for the most part the purpose of this video is highlighting what is a golden age of superhero TV, as narrated by Echo Kellum. He believes that comics tell some of the best stories, and he’s excited to be a part of a franchise that is airing four separate shows over the course of four nights a week. We’re getting two of those shows this week, while both “Supergirl” and “Legends of Tomorrow” are going to be coming on the air next week.

For Kellum in particular, this is going to be a big season as Curtis begins his real transformation into Mr. Terrific, and starts to be out in the field more than ever. This is coming at a time when Oliver Queen has more on his plate than ever, given that he balancing being the Mayor of Star City with trying to don the Green Arrow costume when the situation calls for it.
