‘Dancing with the Stars 23’ results preview: Babyface, Marilu Henner, Ryan Lochte face double elimination

Tonight, the “Dancing with the Stars” results show is going to be a tad more intense than usual, and there is a pretty simple reason for that: There will be two stars rather than one sent home by the end of the show.

So who’s in the biggest amount of danger? The thing that we’re the most confident about is that Babyface and Allison Holker will be eliminated by the end of the show. This is a little bit of a strange case of someone looking like a possible contender a couple of weeks ago to completely falling off the map. We’re not sure quite what happened here, but we just don’t feel like the fight is there for him to stay alive anymore. He got the lowest scores of the night, and by a pretty wide margin. We were already concerned about his fan following going into the show.

As for who could be the other Star sent home on the night, we’d say that it’s between a few different people: Ryan Lochte and Cheryl Burke, Vanilla Ice and Witney Carson, and surprisingly, Marilu Henner and Derek Hough, who are coming off of a particularly rough week. This would mark Derek’s earliest exit from the competition in a long time, and we do think that they’ll probably be okay. Vanilla Ice may be helped by going late in the show.

Could tonight be the night for Ryan? Possibly. We know that he was controversial before the show, but we think that the biggest issue he faces in this competition is merely that we don’t quite think he’s connecting with the routines. We’re not getting an emotional range from his performances, even if he is putting his all into trying to get better as a performer.
