Famke Janssen was a pretty key part of “How to Get Away with Murder” last season in the role of Annalise’s colleague and former lover Eve, and of course as a result of that you’d want to get her back for as much story as you possibly can.
Unfortunately, there is a slight problem that comes to the surface: She is a part of another show now. Janssen is the star of “The Blacklist: Redemption” airing at midseason, and while the good news there is that this show is airing a relatively-short season (think eight episodes), it still limits her availability. Speaking per Entertainment Weekly, though, executive producer Pete Nowalk confirms that there is going to be at least one appearance of Eve on the ABC show this season, and while he doesn’t offer up a whole lot of insight when it comes to the story, it does sound like it is certainly going to be emotional:
“I love her because she’s willing to come back before she goes to her other show … I think it’s going to be an extremely beautiful episode and hopefully something that we can continue to explore if we go on for seasons and seasons.”
The luxury that Nowalk is working with her is that “How to Get Away with Murder” does more than likely have a pretty good future ahead of it. While it has not been renewed for fourth season just yet, odds are that it almost certainly will be even with lower ratings. Given that it airs at 10:00 p.m. Eastern, there are lower expectations — and it also has a boatload of awards consideration.
