‘Blue Bloods’ season 7, episode 3 preview: Jamie gets a new offer
The seventh season of “Blue Bloods” so far has operated almost like every other, at least in that we’ve seen a balancing act between police cases and more complicated moral issues for Frank Reagan as he tries to navigate his job as Commissioner. This is a show that does not often embrace change, but it does not necessarily need to. It knows what it’s good at, and as a result of that it can embrace that.
Now that we’ve said all of this, could we have a chance to see something different in “The Price of Justice”? For Jamie Reagan, the answer could be yes given that he has a new job offer on the table. Take a look at the synopsis below for more on that:
“Danny and Baez are determined to get justice for a traumatized young woman who was held hostage, despite her resistance to press charges. Also, Frank deals with a PR nightmare when a prominent NYPD fundraiser is spotted cutting through Manhattan traffic in a fake police vehicle, and Jamie is offered a job as a technical advisor on a television show after working with the TV and Film unit.”
We’re focusing more on the Jamie story here because it is the one that pops in the relative sea of sameness everywhere else. Could this be something that allows him to leave the department altogether? We don’t have enough knowledge of this job to know one way or another. What is interesting is that this is that is probably something the writers certainly know about, given that they probably have many police consultants on the show in order to ensure that everything is factual and accurate.
