‘Blue Bloods’ season 7, episode 2 video: The battle for a reinstatement
On Friday night’s new episode of “Blue Bloods,” we’re going to have a chance to see some more interesting stuff when it comes to Frank Reagan’s view on police politics — especially at a time in which everyone is being looked at under an even harsher microscope than usual.
This brings us to the sneak peek below, where Frank is implored to reinstate a cop named Richard Clark who received infractions from his Commissioner over the violation of some common rules, and did not react particularly well to the news. Frank’s stance is clear: Police have to be held to a high standard right now, and it does not matter whether the cop is an upstanding one or one with a terrible history of doing the wrong them. However, the counterargument here is that you don’t want to be so harsh on this that it convinces to cop to move away, which could be the case here given that they have put in for a transfer to Nassau County.
There is a chance Frank could turn this around, given that it would take time in order to train someone else to do precisely what he did. It all comes down to whether or not that is something he is willing to do, or if the hard stance still remains the best stance. Even when the cop eventually is reinstated, this is the sort of thing that sticks to you like glue. This could in turn be one of the reasons why they’re looking to get out.
