‘Chicago PD’ season 4, episode 2 video: A delicate missing-persons case
The good news for Voight on “Chicago PD” following the premiere is mostly just that he got out of it with his job still intact. With that being said, he’s clearly on thin ice, and any one move in particular could cause him to land in some hot water. Add to that a climate that is already very dangerous for police offers at present, and you certainly don’t have a best-case scenario for anyone within Intelligence going into Wednesday night’s new episode.
In the sneak peek below (via TV Guide), you can get a little bit of a further sense of the missing-persons case at hand. A woman and her husband were both victims of a car-jacking in a dangerous neighborhood, and race is brought up as a discussion point as the team formulates what to do next. Voight is insistent, however, that he would treat this case the same no matter the ethnicity of the victims or the neighborhood in which the incident occurred.
It is Commander Crowley who seems to be putting the most pressure on Intelligence to get this right and not make mistakes, and there are two different ways in which that could cause the team to react. Either we see Voight and company even more on the straight-and-narrow than usual in order to get her off their backs, or it pushes them in an even more rebellious direction.
We’ll be back tonight with the full results of all that happens courtesy of our latest episode review.
