‘Halt and Catch Fire’ season 3, episode 7 video: Cameron welcomes Tom to California

Recently on “Halt and Catch Fire” season 3, we saw the character of Cameron make a decision that absolutely shocked plenty of people at the time: Marrying Tom. We knew that there were feelings there, but it was a plan that came together in the blink of an eye. Now, they’re clearly at another stage of their lives.

In the sneak peek below from Tuesday night’s new episode, you can specifically see the two characters engaging in what Cameron decries an outdated practice: Crossing the threshold with the woman in the man’s arms. Technically, they don’t actually complete it, but the effort is there. This is a fairly playful sneak peek, so there’s nothing in here that you should be worried about when it comes to the couple’s future. They seem happy, and she seems excited to have him at his home, even if there are some issues that they need to work through. For example, he doesn’t even have a job at present.

While Cameron does have this bit of positive energy in her life, there are other struggles she still faces. For example, she’s going to have to deal continuously with a fluctuating company in Mutiny who is fielding offers, while at the same time the ever-increasing presence of Joe MacMillan. While he has been largely separated from the action most of the season, you do have to wonder what his admission when it comes to Gordon could mean in the long term. Maybe it is a sign of potential change, or just a move to save his own hide from having to be a corporate zombie for the next four years of his life.
