‘Criminal Minds’ season 12 video: Adam Rodriguez introduces us to Luke Alvez
If you were waiting to see the premiere of “Criminal Minds,” rest assured that you’re almost there! The premiere episode is going to be coming to CBS on Wednesday night, and with that there is one notable new addition in Adam Rodriguez. He plays Luke Alvez, a man originally tasked with help bringing in many of the fugitives who escaped at the end of season 11. By the time the premiere ends up airing, many of them will be brought back in — but there are exceptions.
In the video below, you can get a little more insight from Rodriguez into what it meant to play this role, how he describes Luke, and also some of the fundamental differences between being on this role and also what he did over on “CSI: Miami” for many years. He has a fun perspective at looking at that we didn’t previously think about.
If you loved Adam’s past work, odds are that you are probably also going to love him here. It looks specifically like he’s going to be a strong physical presence on the show, and handle many of the tougher tasks that we see the BAU up against. His presence hopefully will also aid the show as it goes through a huge transition; it was already doing that in the wake of losing Shemar Moore, and with Thomas Gibson also departing that is only more amplified. Paget Brewster will be adding a touch of familiarity once more a few episodes in.
