Last week, we had the rather-great opportunity to be introduced to “Lucifer” season 2, and in turn there was a chance to learn a little bit more about the title character’s mother and the relationship she is bringing to the show.
Unfortunately, it turns out that this premiere is going to have to satisfy you for a little while given that there is no new episode of the series airing tonight on Fox, and the reasoning for that is rather simple: Blame the Presidential Debates. Hillary Clinton vs. Donald Trump is set to be one of the most-watched events of the year, and even if the network wasn’t broadcasting this themselves, odds are Fox would want to steer clear of airing anything up against it. You could make the case that it made more sense for the network to not air the premiere at all until October once we’re on the other side of the debate, but clearly they didn’t want to miss out on some of that premiere-week momentum.
Rest assured that there will be many of opportunities still to come to see what is coming up for Tom Ellis and the rest of the cast. The video below may not have too much in the way of footage you haven’t seen already, but it does capture the spirit of fun that this show has — which is kind of ironic given that we’re talking about the devil.
Once there are some other details to share on the series, we’ll have them for you here! Stay tuned.
