Is ‘Major Crimes’ season 5, episode 14 new tonight on TNT? A teaser reminder
The past couple of months have been very good for fans of “Major Crimes,” and of course we’d like to see more of the show in the near future. Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen for at least the remainder of this year.
Due to last week being the midseason finale, TNT is not going to be coming back with the final eight episodes of the show until we roll around to the new year. This is confirmed further in the teaser video below, which shows a few assorted highlights along with the reminder that we will be back in action come 2017.
As for what we’re going to end up seeing when the show does return, we imagine that it will be a mixture of challenging cases to go along with character revelations. First of all, we want to make sure that Andy is okay after having the medical emergency in the closing minutes of the finale. We feel like that’s going to be a jumping-off point for almost everything else that happens. Over the coming episodes, maybe we’ll get more of a sense as to what his future could be provided that he makes it through it okay.
It could be some time still before the network reveals an official return date, given that we are right now only in September and there’s no need to hurry this along. We also think TNT may be waiting to see how other programs are faring before they make any decisions of their own.

Soooo, how do we tell Major Crimes that the season isn’t over??? Gee, maybe the back 8 to season five is actually season 6 and they are fooling with us.
I wish I could shake the feeling there is something bigger happening, but as I delve in deeper into other areas the feeling just gets stronger. This is only amplified with Good Behavior not getting visibility like Animal Kingdom and wondering what it’s performance will be. That cannot be good for Reilly if this is the case.
TNT has to be looking at the bone-headed decision of A&E’s cancellation of Longmire, particularly as we see Bates Motel cancelled and Duck Dynasty on its way out. Those two shows were at least performing well at the time of A&E’s decision. TNT doesn’t have that. I have noted on Zap2it’s tables numerous times where even Murder in the First outperformed AK in the L+3.
On that note, #renewmajorcrimes!
