‘Luke Cage’ trailer: Netflix shares one last look before premiere

Come Friday, the next entry in the pantheon of great Marvel – Netflix collaborations in “Luke Cage” will be here, and that is a cause for great celebration! Hopefully, the new trailer below will serve as one last way to get you excited for what is going to be a really intense, hopefully-entertaining season.

The one disappointment that may come out of watching this for some of you out there is that there is a lot of footage in here that we’ve seen in other places before. This should just come as a sign that there’s only so much footage that Netflix is willing to give away in advance! It also suggests that we’re nearing the point of saturation when it comes to pre-show hype. That’s a sign that it really should just be here already.

At least some of the footage that we’ve already seen is decidedly entertaining, and it really focuses on the action and the sense of responsibility that Luke feels as a result of doing this job. He understands over time that he’s indestructible, but at the same time that’s not what he wants. He wants to just have an ordinary life, and coming to terms with what is presented in front of him could prove to be rather difficult.

Based on early reviews, the one thing we feel fairly confident about at present is that we’re probably in for quite the treat here. This show should be everything comic-book fans want, and prove to be a great companion to “Jessica Jones” and “Daredevil.”
