‘Power’ season 4 spoilers: Some early casting news — with an Angela twist
The third season of “Power” came to a close on Starz Sunday night, but we’re thrilled to be here some extremely-early casting news regarding someone who could be a key player moving into season 4.
Per a new interview from Deadline about the recent finale, executive producer Courtney Kemp confirmed that Sung Kang (“The Fast and the Furious” franchise) has been cast in the role of a “very influential character who comes into Angela’s life.” You will meet him almost right away in the new season, though that doesn’t do a whole lot right now to describe who he is or what he wants.
As of right now, Angela is certainly in an interesting position, having been Ghost’s former lover and now also being the person responsible for arresting him for Greg’s murder. While she is right to think that he has committed criminal offenses, she doesn’t quite realize that it was Mike Sandoval who was dirty this whole time and it was him who was responsible for pulling the trigger on Greg.
We’re ultimately interested in seeing where the series goes from here given that we’ve lost now two main characters in Greg and also Holly earlier this season; meanwhile, we’re not sure Ghost will be able to work his way out of his present predicament without much of a problem, and you’ve also got some trouble for Tasha given where Tariq is and the presence of Kanan once more in the St. Patrick family’s life.
The new season of “Power” should premiere on Starz next year.
