Is ‘Vice Principals’ episode 10 new tonight? More on the shooting mystery
The past several weeks of “Vice Principals” proved themselves to be worthy entertainment over on HBO, largely because of the laughs we had with this show — and also the noteworthy discussions. Who would’ve thought that a sometimes silly / dark comedy would have such a controversial finale?
If you recall, last week’s episode ended with Neal Gamby (Danny McBride) being shot by a masked figure right after being made co-principal at the school with his frenemy Lee Russell , something that completely ruined his feeling that he had gotten everything that he wanted. The question here remains as to who shot him, and there are a few possibilities in our mind:
1. Lee Russell – This one felt really predictable. Lee is a complete psycho as we learned early on when he burned Belinda Brown’s house to the ground and we know that he wants to be the sole man in charge. There are a lot of signs that point to Lee as the culprit.
2. Bill Hayden – Clearly, he doesn’t love Neal after his treatment of him and what is going on with Neal and Amanda Snodgrass. Yet, at the same time we don’t quite understand why this would motive to try and kill him. Did Bill have deeper feelings for her then we knew or did Lee stir the pot with Bill enough to motivate him to kill?
3. Belinda Brown – This one doesn’t make sense to us, since the person in the mask appeared to be taller than her. Yet, at the same time she probably has more motivation to kill him than almost anyone else since his actions caused her to resign.
4. Hired hit-man: Is it possible that Belinda hired someone (possibly her criminal ex-husband) to take our Neal? But if this is the case then why is only Neal getting the bullet where as Lee is conveniently missing?
Unfortunately, there is no new episode airing on HBO tonight; there are only nine episodes this season, and the remaining nine episodes will air at some point in 2017. They will mark the final nine for the series, pending a last-minute change.
