‘Supernatural’ season 12 spoilers: The official premiere details are in

Supernatural -

Season 12 of “Supernatural” will be coming at you starting on Thursday, October 13 in a new timeslot, and when you consider both that and the presence of new showrunners Andrew Dabb and Robert Singer (replacing Jeremy Carver), we understand the thinking to jump to conclusions … in particular when it comes to whether or not the story could change dramatically.

Luckily, that does not seem to be the case for the upcoming premiere episode entitled “Keep Calm and Carry On.” Specifically, it looks as though we’re picking up almost entirely where we left off at the end of season 11, and that everyone from Mary Winchester to Toni could still be involved in some way. We don’t quite think that the first synopsis from The CW is particularly informative, but at the same time, it’s nice to have further confirmation on everything we knew to date:

“Dean (Jensen Ackles) is overwhelmed as he comes face to face with his mom, Mary Winchester (guest star Samantha Smith). Meanwhile, Sam (Jared Padalecki) is fighting for his life after Toni, from the Woman of Letters, shot him.”

This is your jumping-off point for the season, and we don’t think that The CW felt the need to hand down any further information when they don’t quite need to. They have to be aware that there are flurries of people who are going to catch season 12 based solely on what they saw already, and the prospect of getting the brothers back together to tackle some of the emotional issues from their past.
