‘The Blacklist’ season 4, episode 2 preview: The James Spader – Megan Boone story in ‘Mato’

Tonight, “The Blacklist” season 4 kicked things off with a story that certainly had its fair share of intense moments. Reddington went on the warpath in an effort to find and rescue Liz Keen, while at the same time her husband Tom did what he could in order to recover Agnes. The Task Force was starting to be brought up to speed, and we started to get the sense that some answers could be coming.

Moving into next week’s new episode “Mato,” it feels clear that there are some issues that still need to be resolved. For example, Red and Tom could actually work together in an attempt to get closer to Alexander Kirk, while at the same time Liz has to figure out if she trusts this guy in the first place. The synopsis below offers up a little bit more news in terms of what you can expect:

“Red (James Spader) enlists Tom and the Task Force to help track a notorious bounty hunter who may know Alexander Kirk’s next move. Meanwhile, Liz (Megan Boone) struggles to decide if Kirk is trustworthy.”

At some point by the end of this episode, we may get a few more answers — when we spoke earlier this month to Amir Arison (Aram), he made it clear that there is so much that happens in episode 2 that it could be a finale in its own right. Who knows how much the landscape will change? What we do know is that this is not a show that tends to make you wait forever for major reveals to take place.
