TV Quick Hits: ‘American Crime’ episode order; ‘2 Broke Girls’ premiere news; ‘Bates Motel’ casting scoop
In today’s TV Quick Hits, we’re talking a wide array of news from broadcast and cable shows. Read on and enjoy!
“American Crime” season 3 episode order revealed – According to TVLine, the upcoming third season is going to be running for just eight episodes. This is a decrease from prior seasons, but to us we don’t quite care if the show is eight, ten, or thirteen so long as the story is right and it fits properly within that frame. Sometimes, great shows do a lot with a little; just look at what’s going on over at the BBC for evidence of that.
Season 3 of “American Crime” will premiere on ABC next year.
“2 Broke Girls” news – For those of you interested in the show’s October 10 two-part premiere, we’ve got a set of synopses for your reading pleasure.
“And the Two Openings: Part One” – “As Max and Caroline, now part owners of the diner, put the finishing touches on their newly converted Dessert Bar, Max deals with the aftermath of her recent breakup with Randy, and Sophie and Oleg prepare for the birth of their baby.”
“And the Two Openings: Part Two” – “When Sophie goes into labor just before the Dessert Bar’s grand opening, she demands that Max and Caroline be present for the birth. Also, the girls run into problems when they don’t secure a liquor license for their new venue.”
“Bates Motel” casting scoop – According to another TVLine report, Isabelle McNally (“House of Cards”) is going to be appearing on the upcoming fifth season of the A&E drama as Madeleine Loomis, a woman described as being kind and caring. She bears a strong physical resemblance to a younger Norma Bates, and that could certainly complicate things for Norman given what happened at the end of last season.
Expect to see the final season premiere next year.
