Crime Dynamic Duos: ‘Hawaii Five-0’ (Steve / Danny), ‘Major Crimes’ (Sharon / Andy) kick off round 3

Round 3 -Round 2 of our Crime Dynamic Duos tournament here at CarterMatt is finally said and done, and we have to say that the results have proven to be a rather exciting surprise! Despite having some very popular #1 and #2 seeds, all of them have now been dethroned, leaving us with a pair of #4 seeds facing off against some #6 underdogs in the semifinals. There are four shows remaining; we’re profiling one pair today, and we’ll be back tomorrow with the other. We’ll keep voting open in the poll below until Monday, September 26 at 12:00 p.m. Pacific time, with the final round beginning on that day. To everyone who has voted to date, thanks for taking part!

Without further ado, let’s go ahead now and dive into what should hopefully be a pretty intense battle between two shows with very devoted followings.

Steve and Danny, “Hawaii Five-0” (4) – What’s not to like about two of our favorite bickering detectives? They may be somewhat dysfunctional, but you have to give credit here where it is due: They’re excellent at taking down the bad guys. Aside from them being good at their jobs, though (which is assumed, as most TV cops are), their banter and their bond are two of the reasons why fans enjoy watching them. Just seeing the evolution of them now versus them in the pilot is remarkable in itself.

Sharon and Andy, “Major Crimes” (6) – Meanwhile, we turn here towards a pair of characters who found their way into a romantic relationship over time, but one that is an extension to their already great working relationship. What we’re curious about in terms of this particular inclusion is whether or not the shocking events of Monday’s summer finale (check out our review here for spoilers) will influence people to get out and vote further!
