‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6 spoilers: Show exec on Mr. Hyde’s endgame
What’s the deal with Mr. Hyde on “Once Upon a Time“? We know that he’s a sinister dude, but for the time being producers have done a fairly good job of keeping it a secret as to precisely what he wants. It’s a good thing to have a little bit of that ambiguity — provided of course that there is some sort of expiration date on it. Luckily, we do think we’re starting to get that sooner rather than later. Early on in the sixth season, we will start to understand Hyde more precisely as we in turn start to learn more about the Land of Untold Stories and many of the other new characters who are coming to Storybrooke for the first time.
Want to get a little more insight into that? Then take a look at what executive producer Edward Kitsis had to say about this location and also his goals in a new interview with TVLine:
“It is the place where he can have his story play out. When we get into his backstory, you’ll realize that some people may be in the Land of Untold Stories in a way where they’re ‘trapped.’ So, similar to the way Hook wanted to get to the Land Without Magic, so he could kill Gold, you’ll realize Hyde wants to get to Storybrooke so that his story can play out.”
We think there is probably a reasonably good analogy to make right now between where some of these characters are now and where our heroes were back in season 1, where they were still trying to figure things out in terms of where they were and what they wanted from life. The main difference here could be that Hyde, and potentially other characters, are at least a little bit more aware of their past.
