‘Lucifer’ season 2, episode 2 preview: What lies ahead for Tom Ellis, cast?

Tonight, fans of “Lucifer” everywhere got their first real taste of Tricia Helfer as the title character’s mother Charlotte, and while she may claim to have a certain reason for being around, is Lucifer really going to believe her? There is a reason for there to be tension between the two characters, and that could escalate moving into the next new episode entitled “Liar, Liar, Slutty Dress on Fire.”

The synopsis below, via Fox, gives you a little more information when it comes to what lies ahead:

“When Lucifer’s mother, Charlotte, turns up at the scene of a grizzly murder pleading innocence, Lucifer is hesitant to believe her tale. Not wanting to leave her on her own, he instructs Maze to babysit her – and not to torture her, allowing him to investigate the case with Chloe.”

Basically, we feel for Maze given the responsibility that is now going to be there! Charlotte’s not going to be an easy person to wrangle, and seeing her interact with all of the regulars will be fun. (Isn’t Helfer the perfect person for the role?)

Here is the bad news for all “Lucifer” fans out there: You’re going to be waiting for a little while in order to see the next new episode. The reason for the one-week hiatus is rather simple: The Presidential Debate. We know that this will generate plenty of discussion, and the shame here is that the Tom Ellis series is precisely the sort of thing that would serve as a distraction for those tired of politics.
