‘Victoria’ episode 6 preview: Albert’s new struggle

So far, “Victoria” has taken its time with every aspect of the young queen’s reign on the throne. We’ve seen her grow more accustomed with her duties, and at the same time the responsibilities that go along with it. That includes further scrutiny when it comes to the press and her subjects.

With her having a relationship, there has been so much drama surrounding Albert leading up to the events of tonight’s episode. We wish we could say that things would start to calm down and become easier for the two of them beyond that, but that does not appear to be the case. The synopsis below for the next installment indicates that there could be some trouble ahead:

“The royal couple’s blissful happiness is threatened when Albert is publicly humiliated by the Duke of Sussex. Alarmed by her husband’s discontent, Victoria is determined to use all her cunning to get Albert the respect he deserves. But Albert has his own ideas about how to prove his worth.”

Will Albert succeed, and is Victoria going to be able to help him? There is an element of power and influence that is present here. It’s one thing to get people to trust and believe in you, but at the same time there is more pressure on you when you consider the notion of doing the same thing for someone else. It’s a challenge, but consider everything that the real Queen did during her extensive reign, we figure that she’ll find a way to figure this out.
