‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 10: Kaley Cuoco makes desire to continue series clear
With the premiere of “The Big Bang Theory” coming to CBS on Monday night, we are entering what could technically be the final season of the show — at least in terms of the fact that the cast is not under contract beyond the end of the spring. This is the first time that the show has worked on a season with there being some long-term uncertainty, but the one thing that we continue to hear time and time again is that this particular group of actors would like to keep doing the show for as long as humanly possible.
For a prime example of that, just look at what Kaley Cuoco said earlier this week while promoting the new season on “The Talk”:
“We’re so in love with each other, and we still have so much fun, that I can safely say we want to be here as long as possible … we’re nowhere near done.”
As we’ve said before, there are plenty of reasons for the cast to continue to take part in the series. For one, this is a show that has given them all the luxury of enormous paydays several times over, and that sort of money is rather difficult to walk away from. In addition to that, this is also a show where the hours are not as challenging as they are for some other series that are out there, so it is a good job to have in terms of having time to work on some other projects.
Hopefully, we’ll learn something about the cast’s contract status by the end of the season.
