‘Blue Bloods’ season 7 premiere preview: The struggle for Danny Reagan

Blue Bloods season 7In one week’s time, the season 7 premiere of “Blue Bloods” is going to be here on CBS, and there are a lot of different things to look forward to. However, there is one situation that is going to take center stage here when the show returns: Be prepared for Danny Reagan to have one of the most difficult days of his entire life, and the photo above is some evidence of that.

What he will be going through traces back to the end of last season, when he chose to shoot serial killer Thomas Wilder rather than see if he was actually armed as he threatened. While there is an obvious self-defense argument that can be made here, you also have to consider the fact that this was partially motivated by revenge. Wilder threatened his family, and in turn he wanted to do everything that he could in order to ensure that he had something in his mind that amounted to justice.

When new evidence as to what transpired is released, Danny is going to have some explaining to do. While we hope that eventually he avoids significant consequences, at the same time he has to prepare for whatever is handed down. The one thing that may be helping Danny as he goes through this process is Erin, mostly because having a sister who is also an attorney can be very helpful in sticky situations like these.

Where we go from here remains to be seen this season, but all early evidence suggests that we could be in for a particularly emotional premiere.
