‘The Bachelor’: Nick Viall discusses past labels as filming looms
We are not too far away at all from filming starting up on Nick Viall’s season of “The Bachelor,” and of course with that we’re getting a chance to see a little bit more of what the leading man is saying now about his journey, his experience, and what he could be looking for.
One thing that we do know is that he doesn’t necessarily view himself as this perpetual runner-up who can’t seem to find love for himself, even though ABC and the franchise have certainly had a little bit of fun with that label over the past few weeks. Speaking on that subject further to People Magazine, he explained that he hopes people see things with a little bit of a larger perspective:
“It’s frustrating that there is this idea that I was always a bridesmaid, never a bride kind …. It’s not fun knowing that people know me as the guy who professed his love for two women on national TV, only to realize that they probably weren’t the ones for me. But I’m actually really happy with the way things played out.”
Ultimately, Nick compares his relationships with Andi Dorfman, Kaitlyn Bristowe, and then Jen Saviano on “Bachelor in Paradise” to relationships that any person would have that just do not work out. Ultimately, the only real difference is that in his case, everyone on national TV had a chance to watch them play out. We do think that Nick could find a different result on “The Bachelor,” but after everything he’s went through we’re starting to have a hard time envisioning him proposing unless he feels sure. He’s a guy who wouldn’t be afraid of doing what Brad Womack did the first time.
