‘Dancing with the Stars 23’: Jana Kramer suffers injury, will still compete

DWTS -

Injuries have become a part of the fabric of “Dancing with the Stars” just as much as the actual fabric itself, and it is with that in mind that we’re hardly shocked to be reporting today that Jana Kramer is now suffering from an injury that could impact her participation in the show moving forward.

Speaking to People Magazine about what she is going through, here is what the “One Tree Hill” star / country singer had to say:

“I sprained my intercostal muscle. It’s very painful, and it’s hard to breath and move. My doctor recommended that I do not dance, but I’m going to anyways.”

Based on her first routine of the season with Gleb Savchenko, it’s easy to figure out precisely why Kramer is feeling like she is about wanting to continue. the judges had a lot of praise for her, and with her musical background it is easy to imagine that she is capable of taking on some things that some other performers may not be able to. Her challenge for the time being is mostly going to be figuring out a way to withstand some early bumps in the road, while also doing what she can in order to handle being one of the bigger underdogs this season in terms of perceived audience size.

Of course, we’ll take a further look at Jana’s odds of competing moving forward in our contestant rankings, and we’ll also have some routine spoilers in the near future as well! Stay tuned.
