‘Chicago PD’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Zoo’ star Billy Burke set to guest star
For an upcoming role on “Chicago PD” season 4, Billy Burke is going from “Zoo” to the concrete jungle.
According to a new report from TVLine, the actor, whose credits include everything from “Major Crimes” to “Revolution,” is going to be appearing in the upcoming sixth episode of the season entitled “Skin in the Game.” He’ll be playing the part of a former baseball player who gets caught up in some way in a new murder investigation. It’s not clear if he is a suspect, but we imagine someone in Intelligence could be chatting with him at some point.
As for what this role means for his potential future on “Zoo,” not much. (Warning: Spoilers ahead for the season 2 finale of the CBS show.) While Burke’s character of Mitch was seemingly killed off at one point during the second hour of the finale, the cliffhanger in the closing minutes suggested that there could be a chance he is still alive out there. With an actor of this caliber, we’d certainly have a hard time thinking that “Zoo” would be interested in just letting him go.
Meanwhile, “Chicago PD” is going to be starting up new episodes on Wednesday, and we are of course very intrigued to see how the producers are going to tie together some of the stories there. Just remember for a minute that you’re going to end up seeing such events play out as the aftermath of what happened with Voight in the finale, where he seemingly murdered the man responsible for his son Justin’s death.
