‘The Fall’ season 3: Is it truly the end? Writer hints at future for Gillian Anderson series

The third season of “The Fall” remains one of the most-anticipated series out there, and while the BBC is keeping things largely under-wraps in terms of it, there are still plenty of other questions floating around out there … such as whether or not season 3 truly is the end.

Ultimately, that is a fairly difficult question to answer, but what we are very excited about at present is that there may be hope for the future still. Speaking (per Digital Spy) while at a recent screening, writer Allan Cubitt made it clear that “it’s not the end of The Fall necessarily.”

With that being said, is this the end of the series as we presently know it coming up? We’re mostly concerned about how the series can continue to go on with the Paul Spector character firmly entrenched in the story. Based on everything that we’ve come to know about him so far, it is fairly easy to surmise that this is someone who is always going to be pursued — and the longer that remains the case, the more difficult it could be to have the series remain fantastic. As much as we adore Jamie Dornan, his time on the show may have a little more of a natural end date than Gillian Anderson’s Stella Gibson.

A good comparison here is a character like Walter White, who eventually has broke bad to such an extent that you have to assume that eventually, he will be caught.

We’ll see what happens when “The Fall” premieres for season 3. For now, we just know that we’re excited no matter what.
