‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6 premiere photo: Archie — and Pongo — are back!

We’ve made it almost no secret over the years that Archie remains one of our favorite characters on “Once Upon a Time.” Unfortunately, he’s also not someone we see very often. Raphael Sbarge is rather busy with “Murder in the First” and other projects, and the show hasn’t always given him enough to do.

With that said, we are very much pleased to see that the man is back for the upcoming season 6 premiere! The photo above of himself alongside Pongo is further proof of that very thing. Also, we love any and all references to “101 Dalmatians.”

As for what Archie will be up to over the course of the premiere, that’s what remains a little bit of a mystery. We know that the Land of Untold Stories will be rearing its head and having a big role in the episode, but the precise specifics of this said role remain to be seen. Our hope is that he will be of some use to helping some of these newcomers to Storybrooke finding their happy ending. On paper, he’s certainly someone who could be of use just from the vantage point of his skill set as a therapist. He can get people talking about their problems, and in turn work with them in order to find better solutions.

If nothing else, at least we’re getting a reminder that he is still out there, and we’d love to see a lot of nostalgia for the early seasons of the show.
