‘Ray Donovan’ season 4, episode 11 video: Does Ray have an out?

As we get near the end of “Ray Donovan” season 4, we absolutely know that we will continue to see things start to spiral and intensify for all of our characters — and that holds even more true for our title character more than anyone else. He wants to rescue Avi and do everything that he can to wipe the slate clean, but the problem that goes along with that is that he doesn’t necessarily have the freedom to do precisely what he wants. Agent Barnes has some plans of his own for the character, and that could cause an entirely different set of circumstances to unfold.

One other question that is going to come up over the course of this episode is whether or not Ray can really be the man he wants to anymore, or if he is falling into too deep and surrounding himself with far too many dangerous people. He could have an out courtesy of witness protection presented to him, but this is not a man we know to run away from a fight and we certainly expect him to stay around here as we enter the final stretch of season 4.

“As Ray devises an attempt to save Avi and settle his debts, FBI agent Frank Barnes detains him before the plan can be executed, forcing Ray to send Mickey to Vegas to place a high-stakes bet on the match between Hector and Whittaker. Barnes offers Ray a chance to turn informant against Dmitri in exchange for protection, leading him to question whether he’s turning into his father.”
