‘Bones’ season 12 spoilers: Additional details on final stories ahead

For those of you excited for “Bones” to return, the bad news is that you’re still going to be waiting for quite some time. The show is not returning with new episodes until next year, even though when it does come back it will be doing so with some stories that really pay tribute to the road we’ve been on, and also where we are now at this point in many of these characters’ lives.

If you do want to get a little more scoop all about some stories planned at present, the season 12 synopsis below (per SpoilerTV) gives you a little bit of an idea:

“The final season’s 12-episode run will celebrate the inventive series and bring the storylines of Brennan, Booth and the Jeffersonian-FBI team to a close, allowing the show’s loyal fans to say goodbye to these indelible characters. Over the course of the farewell season, fans will experience deaths, a wedding, epic serial killer storylines and an undercover episode.”

In the end, if that’s not a fantastic tease, what is? It gives you a sense that there is some enormous danger ahead, but also happiness. Our biggest hope is effectively rather simple: That the show not kill off any longtime favorites, given that it would be incredibly miserable to go through all of this journey only to be gone so close to the end. At least for the regulars, we want to think that there could be some sort of happiness for them at the end of this.
