‘Bachelor in Paradise 3’ review: Grant Kemp, Wells Adams, and others make decisions before finale

Paradise -If you think back to earlier this season on “Bachelor in Paradise,” we saw one of the larger breakups of the season courtesy of Izzy Goodkind and Vinny Ventiera. While he seemed to be all-in on the relationship, she was convinced to give someone else a chance in Brett. As a result of that, Vinny went home, and then tonight, she learned from Brett that he was more interested in someone else in Lauren.

Therefore, the main event of the first hour was Izzy trying again to win Vinny back — which, for the most part, did not go well at all. She tried calling him, and he made it clear that he wasn’t exactly interested in giving her another chance right now. Maybe that could change moving forward, but for now Izzy is left feeling sick on the side of the road. (Remember, people on this franchise are always left in random places.)

As for some other highlights from this episode…

Back to the chicken coop – Tiara arrived, and minutes later realized that there was nobody there to date her. Pretty much a bummer, no?

Goodbye, Shushanna – Rather than have to deal with rejection at the hand of Wells Adams, she made the decision to leave. Jami and Tiara also left at the Rose Ceremony, as Wells chose to be with Ashley. Also, Brett left — as if anyone felt he was a huge character.

Goodbye, Ashley – After the Rose Ceremony, Wells did decided to go home, thinking he and Ashley weren’t ready for the fantasy suite. He was nice about, but of course she was still not upset — but, to be honest, we’ve seen her much worse.

Final dates – Most of these ranged from romantic to ridiculous. Evan Bass and Carly Waddell are so completely insane that they are instantly appealing. Meanwhile, we think the edit tonight clearly painted the picture of Nick Viall as Bachelor, given that he wasn’t fully on board with being with her for the majority of the episode.

For the most part, we had cliffhangers tonight, and despite all of the reasons to be frustrated with this show and its predictability, we did enjoy parts of this one. Grade: B-.
