Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe: Who surprised Lowe the most?

Tonight on Comedy Central, you’re going to have a chance to something that should prove to be extremely entertaining and silly: The Roast of Rob Lowe. Many notable comedians are going to be present in an effort to completely destroy the “Parks and Recreation” alum, with some attendees being Jeff Ross, David Spade, and “Saturday Night Live” cast member Pete Davidson.

Given their respective professions, for the most part we expect them all to be extremely funny. If they’re not, we do wonder precisely what the point is here. Some of the other performers tonight, whether it be Peyton Manning, Jewel, or Ann Coulter, are a little bit more of the wild cards since comedy is not something any of them do as a full-time job. Yet, at the same time Lowe had some very nice words about Jewel in particular leading up to the show tonight. Per People Magazine, take a look at some of what he had to say:

“I thought Jewel crushed … The comedians you expect to be great, and they are all great. So when it’s somebody like me, I don’t do this for a living, Jewel doesn’t do it for a living, and Peyton. So I was really, I was blown away with Jewel.”

Leading up to the show, it is Coulter that we are the most curious about given that the majority of claims that we’ve heard so far suggest that she didn’t do too well. Plus, there’s something fun that comes out of watching a catastrophe.
