Going into this season of “Dancing with the Stars,” we do feel like there are few wild-card teams quite like Terra Jole and Sasha Farber. While we’re sure that Jole will not want her story to solely be about her being the first little person to compete on the series, the reality is still that it is a big part of her casting. Hopefully, the show will give us a good sense of who she is and what sort of fun she will bring to the ballroom, especially those of us who are not familiar with her. (We are familiar with “Little Women: LA,” but we’ve never actually see the show.)
So how could Terra fare in terms of dance ability? That is one of many things we’re going to profile in the latest show spotlight article below.
Claim to fame – She is a star on “Little Women: LA,” and to go along with that, an executive producer on the entire “Little Women” franchise. She has also starred in a spin-off subtitled “Terra’s Little Family.” She recently welcomed her second child with husband Joe Gnoffo, so she is certainly going to have her hands full away from the ballroom.
Partner – Sasha Farber. This is the third season in which Farber has competed, after being previously paired with Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and then also Kim Fields. Interestingly, ever person he’s been paired with to date are known for being reality TV stars.
Strengths – Terra’s got to have a tremendous work ethic to want to take this show on at this time, and we think she’ll have a drive to do well in the ballroom that few others have. We do think her story will have an inspirational angle to it as well, which will cause her to get some votes from the audience.
Weaknesses – There are going to be a lot of people from the get-go who simply don’t know who she is, and that’s not meant as an insult. She just has to win people over in a way similar to Nyle DiMarco and Noah Galloway, who each went very far on their seasons. (Nyle actually is the reigning champ.)
Prediction – Terra’s super-interesting as a competitor because we know so little about her. With that being said, we see her being a fan favorite because she’ll embrace the competition and have some fun with it. We’re not sure she will have the ballroom know-how to win, but it wouldn’t surprise us if she makes it a month or two into the competition.
