Is ‘Vice Principals’ episode 8 new tonight on HBO?
The past several weeks have been glorious from a TV comedy standpoint thanks largely in part to “Vice Principals.” We enjoyed the first episode, weren’t quite as sure about the second episode, but by the time we got around to the third episode, we finally started to figure out precisely what the show was and we loved it.
Now that Danny McBride and company have us fully committed to their spell, we’re unfortunately staring a hiatus in the face. After all, there is no new episode airing tonight thanks to the Labor Day holiday, and it will be September 11 before the first of the final two episodes of the summer air. Will there be more beyond that? Absolutely, since the final nine episodes of the series are going to be coming next year. We never heard of any plans to extend the story beyond that, but that’s fine given that sometimes, it really is better off to leave your audience wanting more.
As for what could be coming over the next two episodes, the preview over here certainly makes it seem as though the battle over the Principal position is far from over. In one way or another, Neal Gamby has won over Belinda Brown, and truly started to make her feel like he was someone she could trust. He’s all the more diabolical as a result of that, and the stakes are a whole lot higher now that he seems to have the affection of one Amanda Snodgrass. There is something to lose now.

Agreed. If it was really a celebration of labor people would have a day *less* of weekend rather than an extra day. And regardless of naming disasters, what idiot decided that the weekend everyone would be home an extra day would be the best time to NOT release an episode of a great show? More people are around to watch TV on labor day, not fewer.
