‘Gotham’ season 2 spoilers: The search for Fish Mooney

Gotham -

At the end of “Gotham” season 2, we learned that Fish Mooney was back alive and clearly still out there somewhere in the city; the major question revolved around trying to find where she is, and then figure out in turn what she wants.

Based on some of the information that we’re seeing / hearing now, it appears as though this is still going to be one of the primary stories moving forward into the second episode of season 3, let alone the September 19 premiere. Episode 2 is entitled “Mad City: Burn the Witch…,” and you can see per SpoilerTV the synopsis below:

“Fish Mooney (guest star Jada Pinkett Smith) takes matters into her own hands to locate Hugo Strange (guest star BD Wong), forcing Gordon to reluctantly team up with journalist Valerie Vale (guest star Jamie Chung) to find her. Penguin rises in popularity after criticizing the work of the GCPD and Bruce’s investigation of the Court of Owls is compromised. Meanwhile, Ivy Pepper (Maggie Geha) is reintroduced into Gotham city.”

This episode definitely seems to be utilized both past and present guest stars effectively, given that we know Chung will have a major role this season while Geha is going to be a series regular as her version of Ivy. We are curious to see precisely how different she will be now that she has a greater understanding of her abilities / her place in the city, especially given that it is such a quick transformation.

As for Fish Mooney, we don’t imagine that she will be sticking around the series forever. Yet, at the same exact time, that doesn’t necessarily mean that she is on the cusp of being killed off yet again.
